Our next program will be a presentation on the call for a “Convention of States under Article V of the Constitution” for the purpose of proposing certain amendments to the Constitution.

For far too long, unelected bureaucrats, judges and politicians have stripped states of many of their rightful decisions.  Consequently, federal debt is out of control, regulations crush free enterprise, our freedoms have been stolen, and our social fabric has been eroded by liberal policies.  Citizens for Self Governance has started a project called “The Convention of States” (COS).  Citizens for Self Governance is a national organization with representatives in all 50 states.

The Problem

The federal government has overreached its constitutionally-established boundaries and has its hands in almost every area of our lives. Our children and grandchildren will inherit a bankrupt nation run by an unaccountable bureaucracy.
solution

The Solution

Article V allows us to call a Convention of States to restrict the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, effectively returning the citizens’ rightful power over the ruling elite.

strategy

The Strategy

Together, state legislators and citizens can recover the checks and balances on federal power to protect our liberty from the abuses in Washington DC.
