I just got back from watching the movie, Hillary’s America. No matter where you fall politically you HAVE to see this movie, even if you don’t fall anywhere on the political map, just GO!! Growing up as a little Black girl on the South Side of Chicago, I knew all about Ida B. Wells, or at least I thought I did. I am very ashamed to admit I only knew a small part of what this patriot did.

For me she was a name that was given to one of the worse housing projects in Chicago, which now when I think about it Daley Senior must have gotten a good laugh when that name was chosen, given that fact that few in Chicago land history were as racist as he was. A lot about Ida B. was not taught in schools, or put in books at the time of my childhood, I know because my mom was a Librarian and my brother, sister, and I spent a lot of time at Pullman Library as children after school until closing. I did find out more about her during my adult life when I became involved with the Frederick Douglass Foundation.

I digress, back to the movie, this movie is a true story, all the information in this movie can be backed up with just you clicking a few buttons and searching online. Only someone scared of the truth would not watch this movie. It doesn’t tell you who to vote for, it gives you facts for you to make your own decision based on facts and not lies. You will go through every emotion when you watch this movie, but you will leave with truth.

A person that over the past few years I have gotten a LOT of great factual historical information Prof. Carol M. Swain, who I have been following for a very long time is featured in the movie, and a job well done as always. You will FINALLY understand the why and the how. I challenge EVERY PERSON I know to watch this movie. This is not your ordinary movie/documentary people. This is TRUTH! Don’t be afraid to have long standing views challenged and questioned. It’s ok, and it’s not too late.

Really hope you do, Aaron! I plan t purchase a DVD whenever it is released. I thought I had received an excellent education in Virginia, yet there was so much in the movie I was never taught. I had no idea President Woodrow Wilson was racist. Didn’t know Andrew Jackson was as well and was cruel to his slaves. Our history has been whitewashed, and D’Souza has done us all a great service.

Thank you for this review. It indeed is helpful and I am looking forward t doing a bit of fact checking myself. After today’s news it would be interesting t hear about her involvement in the electronic terrorism filing against Wikileaks. Something tells me she is in real deep.
