Unaccountable government is the worst government. Nothing good ever comes from legislation passed during lame duck sessions.

Hello, fellow fiscal conservatives. Now that Congress is back in session, we conservatives need to push Congress to avoid a lame duck session. This means they need to pass funding through the end of the year and into 2017, so that Congress does not pass additional spending during a lame duck session when they cannot be held accountable by voters.
Unaccountable government is the worst government. Nothing good ever comes from legislation passed during lame duck sessions. Past lame duck sessions gave us higher taxes, a bailout for the automotive industry, and a nuclear treaty with Russia.
A post-election lame duck session will not be necessary if they fund the government into 2017.
Of course, Obama and the Democrats, along with a few RINOs, are pushing to pass a short-term CR that will require a lame duck session of Congress. This move would result in another omnibus bill in December, when many reps who were not re-elected are on their way out the door and no longer accountable to their constituents. We need a longer term CR that will take us past the lame duck session, and we want the CR to include the lower spending limits set in the Budget Control Act (BCA) of 2011.
Call your reps and ask them to use the power of the purse strings and to fight for conservative policies in the budget bill this month. This is our chance to defund Obama’s Iran deal, the importation of more Syrian refugees, executive amnesty, sanctuary cities, Obama’s UN Climate Treaty, Obamacare; to reduce funding for the politicized IRS that targets conservatives; and to stop Obama from giving away America’s control over the internet.
