The GOP is not only betraying America but they are missing their chance to win the hearts and minds of young American voters, by keeping their promises to repeal Obamacare.  They have a historic chance to resurrect the Reagan revolution, but instead they are missing the opportunity to teach a new generation about the benefits of a constitutionally limited Federal Government.

They lied that they would have a repeal bill on Trump’s desk on day one; but we are now almost 8 months into 2017, and Congress has not sent any repeal bill to Trump to be signed.  I don’t think any of us expected that we would be approaching August with Obamacare still not repealed.

Rather than demonstrate a bold contrast between the two parties, the GOP has proven again that Democrats and Republicans are really cut from the same mold.

The differences between free-market solutions and big-government solutions are stark, but the differences in GOP and Democrat healthcare proposals are far too similar. Both include Obamacare subsidies to big insurance companies, costly Obamacare Title I regulations, Obamacare exchanges, Medicaid expansion, and continued Federal Government meddling in our lives.

McConnell used all kinds of persuasion to get Senators to support his BCRA which kept the Federal Government in the insurance business. But Senate leadership has not shown nearly the same zeal for promoting a clean repeal bill.  If they really wanted to pass a full repeal bill or even the 2015 partial repeal bill, they would be whipping the Senate and offering the same deals to holdouts that they offered on the BCRA. We are not seeing any of that happening though.

So four GOP Senators are saying they will not support repealing Obamacare. Murkowski, Portman, and Capito say they won’t support Obamacare repeal, even though they ran on doing just that. Shameless liars!  Liberal Senator Collins is still liberal Senator Collins; she supported Obamacare before and still does.

Capito is not only a liar but an idiot as well. Her statement that “She didn’t come to Washington to hurt people,” is right up there with Hank Johnson’s comments about Guam tipping over. As someone who has closed three of five Lion and Rose restaurants in great part due to Obamacare, I can tell you that Obamacare is hurting people. Tell all those folks who lost their jobs how you don’t want to hurt people. Tell all of those unfortunate business owners who have had to close businesses and lost their life’s savings over Obamacare how you don’t want to hurt people. And explain to those business owners who are buried in red tape and paperwork trying to meet all those Obamacare tracking requirements how you don’t want to hurt people.

Tell all those folks who are paying over $12k in deductibles because of Obamacare how you don’t want to hurt people. Tell all those folks who can no longer afford to pay their high premiums how you don’t want to hurt people. And tell all those folks paying over 20 new Obamacare taxes how you don’t want to hurt people.

If you don’t want to hurt people, then STOP hurting people and repeal Obamacare.

The U.S. Senate is now debating a bill that would repeal most parts of Obamacare that would go into effect in two years. Two years??? Two Years??? We want “all” of Obamacare repealed –not just parts of it–and we want it repealed now–today–and for the repeal to go into effect –today —not two years from now. Suppose a neighbor came over to your house to borrow a cup of sugar and you told them “yes” –I will give you a cup of sugar–come back in two years. By the way –I want total repeal of Obamacare and no replacement. The Trump replacement is still a very left–very liberal bill that will have taxpayers once again footing the bill for the healthcare of millions of others by providing them with subsidies or tax breaks. Just repeal and walk away feeling proud.
